Description
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and transferred to the airport for your short flight to Cairo.
On arrival, your guide will be waiting outside the terminal with a Falcon sign to greet you and begin your day of discovery.
Your first stop is the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Opened in 1902, the museum houses over 120,000 ancient artifacts, including the world-famous golden mask of Tutankhamun, a masterpiece of ancient craftsmanship and one of the most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt.
Optional: Take a short motorboat trip along the River Nile to enjoy a different perspective of Cairo’s vibrant cityscape. This extra activity is optional and not included in the main tour.
Lunch will be served as an open buffet (soft drinks not included).
After lunch, you’ll visit a papyrus institute, where you’ll see how ancient Egyptians made paper from papyrus plants. You’ll also have time to browse or shop.
Next, you’ll head to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. This 5,000-year-old necropolis is one of the most famous historical sites in the world.
The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest and most intact of the three main pyramids. For over 4,000 years, it was the tallest man-made structure on Earth, only surpassed by the Eiffel Tower in 1889. Optional: you can enter the pyramid and make your way through the narrow corridors to the King’s chamber. This extra activity is optional and not included in the main tour.
You’ll also visit the Great Sphinx, a limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a human, standing proudly on the west bank of the Nile and facing east.
To finish the day, you’ll stop at a perfume shop where you can learn about traditional Egyptian fragrances made from pure, alcohol-free oils.
You’ll then be transferred back to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Hurghada. On arrival, a transfer will take you back to your hotel.
