5 Days / 4 Nights of Cultural Tour
Day 1
AIRPORT / NEGOMBO – SIGIRIYA
Early morning leave for Sigiriya, visit a roof tile factory and pineapple plantation as well as Pinawella Elephant Orphanage sanctuary. Visitors are invited to observe and assist the baby elephants.
In the afternoon visit the Sigiriya Fortress, which was a royal palace of King Kassyappa (477-495 A.D) Dinner and overnight in hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 2
SIGIRIYA – ANURADHAPURA
After breakfast proceed to Anuradhapura to visit the ancient city. You will visit the Sri Maha Bodhi (the oldest tree in the world with a written history and it is a sapling from the original tree under which Buddha got enlightened), the Brazen Palace, the Ruwanveli Seya Dagoba (the biggest dagoba in Sri Lanka), the Thuparama Dagoba ( the oldest dagoba), the Lankarama Dagoba, the Elephant Pond, the Abhayagiriya Monastery Complex, the world famous Samadhi Buddha Statue and the Isurumuniya Temple. In the afternoon proceed back to hotel in Sigiriya
Day 3
SIGIRIYA – POLONARUWA – SIGIRIYA
After breakfast sightseeing of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (10th-12th century A.D).On the way back visit the Mineriya National Park for afternoon Jeep safari and proceed back to hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 4
SIGIRIYA – KANDY
After morning elephant ride through the jungle proceed to Kandy, visiting Dambula Cave Temple, batic factory and spice garden in Matale on the way. Visit to the Temple of The Tooth and traditional cultural dancing show in the evening. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Kandy
Day 5
KANDY – NEGOMBO
On your last day you will visit a wood carving factory, gem museum and Peradeniya Botanical garden before proceeding back to your hotel in Negombo. End of tour
